How To Join Meetings
How to join the meeting room equipment to a meeting depends on which conferencing service is being used.
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams supports joining existing meetings as well as creating new meetings from the touchscreen device. Additionally, when creating a new event/meeting, if you invite the applicable conference room the conference room will automatically join the meeting at the scheduled time.
- Existing meeting
- (Recommended) Join the meeting from your laptop. Before clicking the Join now button, click Room audio and select the conference room you're in. This will join the conference room equipment and mute your laptop to avoid any feedback.
- Have someone currently in the meeting invite the applicable conference room and accept the invite on the conference room touchscreen.
- On the conference room touchscreen, click Join with an ID, select Microsoft Teams, and enter the Meeting ID and Meeting passcode.
- New meeting
- On the conference room touchscreen, click Meet now and invite anyone who should join the meeting.
Zoom
Zoom doesn't support starting a meeting directly from the conference room touchscreen. Someone will need to create the meeting and the Meeting ID and passcode will need to be entered on the touchscreen device.
- Existing meeting
- On the conference room touchscreen, click Join with an ID, select Zoom, and enter the Meeting ID and Meeting passcode.
